REFORM.NEWS (formerly REFORM.BY) is a team of journalists who have been professionally telling readers about events in Belarus and the world 24/7 for more than five years. We see our mission in maintaining high standards of Belarusian journalism.

Reform.news has a fully independent editorial policy that is not influenced by governments, business interests, political parties or any other organizations or individuals.

Reform.news is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of nationality, ethnicity, disability, age, belief, gender, gender identity or sexual preference.

Key points of our editorial policy:

Public relevance
The decision to select a topic or subject for investigation is made by the editorial team based on the public relevance and interests of the project's audience.

Protection of sources
We do not disclose the sources of information, but we have to admit that we cannot legally protect the confidentiality of our sources to the fullest extent within the framework of Belarusian legislation.

Author Protection
We assume that if an investigation conducted by our journalist directly threatens his/her health and life, he/she has the right and duty to refuse to work on such investigation.

Verification of information
The editorial staff assumes that the authors' investigation should be based primarily on digital or documentary evidence that cannot be forged or falsified. The process of verification of the stated facts in the editorial office itself goes through 5 levels: the author of the investigation, independent auditor, editor, lawyer, editor-in-chief.

Legal assessment
Every significant investigation undergoes a risk assessment procedure by a professional lawyer. Taking into account his recommendations, changes must be made to the final version.
