8. Disclosure of Revenue Sources and Data Collection

The aim of disclosure is to be able to assess potential conflicts of interests. Media Outlets are encouraged to exceed the financial disclosure requirements mandated by their national laws in order to achieve this goal. In cases where the requirements cannot be met, a justification for non-compliance should be published.

8.1. Sources of Revenue

The Media Outlet shall disclose a list of its sources of revenue, ranked from largest to smallest. These may include subscriptions, advertising, major donors and donations, subsidies, fees, sales, memberships, sponsorships, events, etc. Organisations obliged to publish or make public their financial information shall provide a reference to the source where the data is accessible. The Media Outlet may disclose its revenue and/or the categories of its sources of revenue, including the respective ratios. A Media Outlet owned by the state or the government, or financed with public money, shall disclose the nature of its source(s) of revenue: license fees, government budget, partnerships, public subscriptions, grants, commercial advertising, or other. Where a media entity deems itself precluded from disclosure of information due to safety and security concerns as outlined in the Terms and Definitions section, these shall be explained.

3) rental of premises and services (renting studios and equipment, including studio service providing team, music instruments (Sound Record Department).

8.2. Data collection disclosure

Where a Media Outlet processes personal data from its audiences, on its own or by engaging with third parties, that shall be disclosed. The Media Outlet shall describe what personal data is processed, by which methods and for what purpose.

What information is processed?

Apps:
- user's name and email address or the social media platform used for authorisation (Facebook or Google);
- the operating system (OS) version of the device, the app version, the phone model, the language used on the phone,
- settings if user only wants to download app updates whenever wi-fi is available,
- the user ID assigned to the user when downloading the app;
- information about when the app was opened and information about settings in the app, such as whether the user has given permission to receive notifications from the app.
- whether or not user's phone has access to the internet (Wifi) (when one uses the app) and possibly other information that reflects the use of the app;
- email address and text of the submission if using the "Support" or "Report a problem" functionality of the app.

Website and social media accounts:
- the name and surname of a person, as well as identifiable photo, audio and/or video may be processed for journalistic purposes, when participating in broadcasts, content projects, as well as on its website, app and social media platforms,
- at events and venues organised by LR and its partners, where photo, audio and video recordings of the event are made, photos, audio and audiovisual material of the participants may be processed
- when participating in competitions or promotions announced on social media, information about the events may be stored in the LR archives, posted on the website, social media profiles and/or other information material;
- incoming and outgoing communication (website comments, comments on social media platforms, as well as emails) stored and accounted for.

What is the purpose for gathering that information?

Apps:
- for users to be able to listen to content produced by LR,
- to create user's profile and make the choices one wants (subscribe to programmes, receive news about new programmes, etc.);
- to maintain, administer and promote the app and the content available on it;
- to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of the app;
- to provide technical support to users.

Website and social media accounts:
- to produce programmes and inform the public on various issues;
- to ensure that the programmes produced are available and disseminated on various online platforms for an unlimited period of time;
- to provide media coverage of events organised by the LR and its partners,
- to promote awareness of the brands represented by LR,
- to raise public awareness on topics of public interest raised by LR,
- to provide public the opportunity to communicate with the LR in various (not only official) ways.
