2. Editorial Mission
2.1. Editorial Mission Statement
The Media Outlet shall disclose its editorial mission statement which shall be consistent with the fundamental ethical principles of trustworthy journalism, and, as described in the Preamble, should incorporate principles of: ethical practice, good governance, self-regulation and Engagement with the public. A Media Outlet shall set out how it proposes to uphold these journalism principles through its Editorial Guidelines and processes which shall include arrangements in relation to internal accountability and of appropriate external accountability (see clauses 9 – 15). Best practice is to have these arrangements codified and made available publicly.

At The Silver Lining, we are passionate about supporting and valuing the hard work of creatives. We believe in a society where creativity is thriving, and our publication is one way we contribute to making that a reality.
Our stories cover a wide range of topics, including food, music, western architecture, travel, event tourism, outdoors, environmental issues, and creative arts. But at the heart of it all, we are all about hope, change, and overcoming adversity in the new era of life. Our stories are about the paths taken to discover the silver lining in any situation, and we hope they inspire and encourage you on your own journey.
The Silver Lining is produced by Argento Studios, a women-led and women-owned production studio located in Northern Colorado. We welcome stories from and about BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, single moms, and underserved populations, and we believe every human has a unique and valuable story to share.
As a social enterprise, Argento Studios donates portions of its income to organizations with a good cause to serve the community’s social good. We believe that supporting the community is essential to creating a better world, and we are committed to making a positive impact through our work.
